Be different; be unique; be yourself.

I'm an independent. I've signed with no label.

I went to Philippines and I literally had the time of my life.

If you can't find what's unique, people aren't going to listen.

Harry Style's hair is probably the greatest thing on this planet.

I've absolutely fought against having to be half-naked to sell a track.

I write my own music. By myself, on a computer, I program guitar and piano.

I used to make cassette tapes but never thought about making a career of it.

Most of all I like to sing my heart out to lyrics that really speak to people.

Please, please, PLEASE be yourself. If you catch yourself not, take a step back.

I can't put anyone even really close to Christina Aguilera besides Stacie Orrico.

Skrillex. The man is a genius and paved a new way for music and it's very inspiring.

I have no boyfriend. No time. None send me over the moon, so I just kind of do my thing.

Confidence is not 'they will like me'. Confidence instead is 'I'll be fine if they don't'.

I'm not perfect, but I believe my faith in Jesus Christ will really take me far in the world!

If you are posting your music on YouTube, maybe start with a popular cover done in a unique way.

But I also think it's about a person's personality that draws people in, too, not just their singing.

I'd love to open for Bieber. It would be awesome; that would definitely be the crowd I would want to play to.

I only wish to climb even higher during the rest of my career bc with the power of Team Grimmie, I won't stop.

I'm one of those people who laughs everything off. If I mess up, I just say, 'Ha! Totally didn't mean to do that.'

If It's your passion and you want to do it for the rest of your life, why would comments stop you from doing that?

'Side A' was a project that I wanted to do, stuff that I produced completely, and it was just stuff that I was dealing with.

People aren't born strong. people grow stronger little by little, encountering difficult situations learning not to run from them.

My new song 'Shrug' I created with two guys. The idea was a message about ignoring haters. People one-up you, stay true to yourself.

I want to be able to show people that I have flaws and they have flaws, too. And you know what that means? No one out there is perfect.

Be respectful to your peers and yourself, of course. Don't be a jerk. But at the same time don't settle for anything less than yourself.

Be stupid, be dumb, be funny, if that's who you are. Don't try to be someone that society wants you to be; that's stupid. So be yourself.

When I was little, I had this old video camera, and I set it up, and I would pretend that I was on comedy shows and soap operas and things like that.

I know the fans are very personable with my mom and things like that. They make little collages and pictures. They make edits of me and my mom together.

My goal in my career is to inspire people, is to get my music out there and have people enjoy it, and have people think of me as an inspirational artist.

Me being the metal fan that I am, I like to listen to thrash metal to get me pumped - that kind of music will get your heart racing and ready for a crowd.

I've seen too many celebrities fall from their morals, and I wanna come up under that and be THAT girl that doesn't need a scandal to make herself look better.

And hey, it's okay to laugh at yourself sometimes, I do dumb things all the time (haha). But when it get's too personal, get your tough skin on and stand firm.

Honestly, 'Side A' is supposed to be a project just from my heart and whatever is happening in my heart at the time, and I want 'Side B' to also fit that same thing.

Don't let the idiots that like to bring you down, succeed in discouraging you. I let it get to me a while ago, and let me tell you, it feels SO good to come up under it!

I'm that girl that's a hardcore musician and loves to sing and write and play instruments but, at the same time, loves video games, metal music, and just being a goofy person.

Youtube was the start of my career officially, although since I was 4 I've wanted to be a singer. I've performed here and there before youtube, but youtube push me much further.

I make make music in my own time, messing around with beats and riffs I write. Always practicing performing in my room most times I probably look like an idiot dancing around haha.

No matter what society is trying to drill in your head about how you should look, how you should act, and what you need to say, I think it's all crap. All of it. Be yourself and do you.

I have God, Jesus Christ: I'm Christian. I try to stay as grounded as I possibly can. And I have my parents that help me and my friends that are really great accountability partners to me.

When I write music, I know a lot of artists like Taylor Swift or Ed Sheeran tend to write from personal experience. I write from personal experience, of course, but I don't limit myself to that.

There's a band called Pantera that I listen to, and then Metallica's 'And Justice for All.' If you listen to a little bit of that before you go on stage, you're pretty much set for the whole show.

Los Angeles traffic is just the worst thing in the world. It throws off timing so much. However, it's always warm and sunny. New Jersey has absolutely terrible weather, but the environment is really homey and chill.

'The Voice' gave me the exposure that YouTube was never able to provide for me, just because I didn't have a label or that kind of opportunity before. It also kind of trained me as person and performer with an audience.

I first went on YouTube aged 15, and people were saying, 'Why not do this cover?' Then they wanted to hear my own stuff live, and it escalated from there. Selena Gomez's parents found my videos and manage me to this day.

I had the opportunity to go on 2 tours with Selena Gomez and that really boosted the exposure and experience for me. It was when I got a shot at The Voice that I really got the biggest boost and got to show what I could do!

I want longevity; I love music, being a musician is the greatest gift in the world to me, and if I were to get signed to a label, my family and team around me are always gonna be there to make sure they want the very best for me. My fans are what it's all about.
