No person ever gave me nothing but God.

You got good and bad people everywhere.

The best revenge in the world is success.

How could you be from the ghetto and be a rat?

If you always been my enemy, it's still that way.

My kids get everything they want and are raised well.

People don't know how hard it is to have your own business

In prison, you get the chance to see who really loves you.

Of all the artists on Death Row, none of them went bankrupt.

I ain't no gangster. I'm a grown man trying to run a business.

I am in the penitentiary. The only thing that I do is my time.

I don't care about how many times somebody recognizes my face.

I only know what I heard and what I read. I had no involvement.

If I stay in here until I am 100 years olds, I will still be a man.

Basically, people are never happy enough because they want more money

I made up my mind that I wanted everything, and nothing would stop me.

I can only spend $140 a month in here. I'm saving, like, $10,000 a day.

If you wanna cross somebody, then do that. Don't act like it wasn't you

Prison make you a better judge of character. You pick up on people much faster.

For thugs from the ghetto, violence is a way of life - it's what helps you survive.

I never seen no shootin'. I only know what I heard and what I read. I had no involvement.

No matter what it is, I think people want the answer they want, they don't want the truth.

They been callin up here, asking when I am gonna get out. When I hit bricks, it all belongs to me.

I like Biggie. Like 'Pac, he was one of the best rappers in the business. Why would I try to do something to him?

The music business would be much better, for the youth and the kids, if they start hiring employees that understand the kids.

I think the biggest misconception about me probably is ... I don't prey on the weak. I ain't a bully, but I ain't no saint, either.

If you grow up in the suburbs, you hear of people dying of old age, car wrecks, cancer. In the city, it's always people dying of violence or stray bullets.

I'm passionate about everything, like my family and friends. Anybody I am talkin' to is gonna be bona fide real. There is no substitution for happiness. Period.

As far as anybody in the rap game ever tryin to assassinate my character, thats impossible. You talkin about a man who has always walked the walk and talked the talk.

There's no difference in dealing with the music business with the majors than any other competition. The music business is way more cutthroat than any other business.

I ain't never preyed on the weak. I ain't never gone and picked on a guy that I knew I could beat up, even as a kid. People wanna make me seem like I'm [that] type of guy.

I'm in prison. But my heart and mind is free. Gangsta haters on the streets are doing more time than me. They need 30 police escorts with them every time they walk down the street.

I'm gonna make sure everybody get their justice. This the year for business, this the year for my book, this the year for the movie and this the year for getting even. I'm on my way.

When I start getting old, I'm going to start ending my prayers like, "Lord, it'd be a good day to die." I don't wanna be 130 years old with a diaper on, all my friends dead and gone. I wanna get to heaven, come get me!

Coming from prison, you're more appreciative. Somebody gives you a bottle of water, you're like, "Thank you." Because that water means something. It might not be too good. It might not even be drinkable, but you know, you gotta do what you gotta do.

When you're dealing with TV and with movies, people dont take it as serious as they do with music. If a rapper does a song about shooting people on the block, and goes into a restaurant or grocery store, people grab their purses because they're afraid the person is violent. With TV and movies, people know it's okay, it's just a script.
