I'm the kind of person where I always digest everything around me.

Acting like the person I'm supposed to be has always been the easiest thing for me.

Directing is more comfortable for me because, as an actor, there's always something inherently false. Because I'm not that person.

I always wanted to be more validated as a human being, as a person, than I was as a player. I think that was a really hard balance for me.

I always try to be nice. I never want to be that person that anyone perceives as being rude or disrespectful, 'cause that's not me at all.

My grandmother was my inspiration. She was the person who took me to the theater and encouraged me to act, and she's the one who always believed in me.

My students have shown me so many times that it's not always about being the perfect person in the perfect position - it's about showing up when you're needed.

I've always been the type of person - you know, I kind of am extreme. So you know, I'm not like, 'Oh, let me get one tattoo.' It's, like, my old whole arm has to be covered.

My friends have named me the person they least want to do extreme adventures with, because I always seem to be very close to being part of a disaster. If a cat has nine lives, I think I've used a few.

It's always a huge red flag for me when somebody's reticent or reluctant or a little slow in providing thoughtful references that are a testament to them as a person and their professional accomplishments.

I'm so happy in the projects that I'm able to make, to be involved in projects like this. This isn't always where it was at for me, I started working when I was a kid. I'm just a different person now, I'm 30. I started working when I was 11 and it's a different ballgame.
