No god ever gave any man anything, nor ever answered any prayer at any time - nor ever will.

I spend a lot of time in prayer. God doesn't always show up on my time, but he always shows up!

Prayer is when you talk to God. Meditation is when you're listening. Playing the piano allows you to do both at the same time.

Think of God; attachments will gradually drop away. If you wait till all desires disappear before starting your devotion and prayer, you will have to wait for a very long time indeed.

While the pulpit must hold to its unswerving loyalty to the Word of God, it must, at the same time, be loyal to the doctrine of prayer which that same Word illustrates and enforces upon mankind.
