I look at all the things life has allowed me to do, and I feel like the luckiest person in the world.

I have plenty of vanity in my life. I want to look pretty in the world. But it can be this bottomless pit.

And in order to succeed in later life, you need creative skills because look at how fast the world is changing.

In real life, that's how we're moving around. We look at things while we're walking and moving and turning around. We stare at objects in the world.

It's difficult to learn to play these different disabled characters - Campbell in 'Switched At Birth' was paralysed from the waist down - but it's nice to be able to step into their world and live in these characters' shoes and to be able to play them, because it gives you a different look at life.

Sometimes when you look at life really closely and you realise that things are not as smooth or as kind as they should be, then you create a world outside that matches up to your expectations or matches up to your beliefs. That's the kind of world both my brother and I have created for ourselves through stage and through entertainment.
