We've entrusted our lives to people who know nothing about life.

The main dangers in this life are the people who want to change everything... or nothing.

Nothing is perfect. Life is messy. Relationships are complex. Outcomes are uncertain. People are irrational.

My belief is that no movie, nothing in life, leaves people neutral. You either leave them up or you leave them down.

And I'm a really happy person, I enjoy life. I think you see that on people. I think there's nothing more aging than misery.

There are too many people coming out of school and heading into a life of nothing. They go straight on the dole or into crime.

I want people - especially young girls - to know that in life, nothing is going to be based on sex appeal. You've got to have something else to go with that.

Stripping away artifice - it's the constant standard I aim for in acting, to approximate life. People talk about being bigger than life - but there's nothing bigger than life.

That's the only thing I don't like - people always got something to say about my life. I don't know nothing about their life. People just judge you when they don't even know you.

What's interesting is often people think life changes when you have a record deal and you do all kinds of stuff. Obviously your life changes, but nothing changes your life like getting married and having kids.

I don't tend to offer up a critique unless I have a clearly formulated alternative, because there's nothing worse than people on a set or any kind of artistic life who critique something but who don't have anything to offer.

I think I have broken the mould that actresses have to be extremely thin on screen. All those who are making my weight an issue just prove that people are jealous. These are people who have nothing to do in life except to stare at their computer screens and make comments on us.
