I am an aristocrat. I love liberty; I hate equality.

I am not a vegetarian because I love animals; I am a vegetarian because I hate plants.

I am convinced we do not only love ourselves in others but hate ourselves in others too.

That's one thing I try to take pride in: not changing up. Just being who I am, and having people love me or hate me for who I am.

I realize that I'm one of those guys that if I'm not with you, you hate me. But when I'm with you, you understand who I am and what I'm about and love me.

Why do I write? I have been called a writer of catastrophes, but that isn't true. I am always looking for words of love. Hate will not save us. Only love.

I want to be judged by who I am, not what I am. I mean, I am Johnny Weir. Judge me the way you see me, love me the way you see me, hate me the way you see me.

The records are black boxes for me. Like, if you want to know who I am, my views, my perspective, things I love, things I hate, my convictions, my anthems. I've never let people's opinions affect the way I write.

At the end of the day, I'm still an African-American woman in a male-dominated industry, so sometimes you have to deal with people not taking your ideas seriously. But I look at it as, I'd rather have adversities in something that I love than doing something that I hate or where I am not interested.
