Through the information the Pleiadians bring, we come into a new innate understanding of ourselves, and a new remembering. That really allows us to move forward on our path with that information. It's empowering. It puts things in perspective, back into place. It makes sense of everything that we are and what we're doing here, and what we have done and where we are going.

The death of Fidel Castro, of course, is not as significant when you first look at it, because Raul Castro, his brother, has been in power for years. But, in fact, he's been a looming figure even during his illness that I think has made a difference in holding us back in trying to open up more negotiations and move ahead with opening up relations between America and Cuba.

The Green Shore is an engrossing novel about political oppression, played out on an intimate family scale. Well, I do think, particularly the way I work, the better images occur when you're moving to the fringes of your own understanding. That's where self-doubt and risk taking are likely to occur. If you cannot make moving pictures about yourself, your country and your culture, it's as if you do not exist anymore in this world of images we live in. More times than not, my pain stems from an area in which I've been least authentic. The second I identify the source - the area of my inauthenticity - I begin to feel better. This allows me to take complete responsibility for my emotional discomfort, and the awareness enables me to move beyond the blockage. I become energetically unstuck, allowing the pain to pass through me.
